H.B. Tool Company, an existing facility in Lewiston, Michigan was chosen as the site for this new technology.  In July of 1983, a short 5 months after the operation was conceived, H.B. Tool Company delivered its first carbide heads to Star Cutter Company. In 1984, the extrusion and isopressing processes were fine-tuned into production operations.  In 1987, material grading was added, and in 1990 the company began adding grades and selling to select outside markets.  By 1994 the company's products were receiving so much recognition in the marketplace that a name change was made.  The new name... H.B. Carbide Company. Today H.B. Carbide Company is a major supplier of precision tungsten carbide preforms to customers throughout the world. Focused on Customers H.B.
